Saporro Flights Guide

Japan has a history that stretches into the bygone regions of time. However, Sapporo, the city commonly equated with the national beer, is a newer city. Located on the northern island of Hokkaido, Sapporo has developed as a town of industry, and today it has one of the cleanest and most well-organized urban centers. Sapporo identifies with its oldest building, which is not a temple or a Shinto shrine, but a clock tower, Tokeidai. It is an unassuming structure, but a visit to the city is not provable with a snapshot of it. It describes an era of industry, along with the Hokkaido Pioneer Village. For those who can’t relinquish the connotations of “Sapporo”, one can visit the Sapporo Beer Museum. When the vanity of alcohol has worn off, a stroll in Asahiyama Park is a pleasant buffer to the true nature of Hokkaido. If it’s winter time, visitors are probably flocking to the Sapporo Snow Festival. But all other times of year Sapporo visitors come for such natural splendors as the Shikotsu-Toya National Park caldera lake volcanoes and Lake Toya, or the Shiretoko National Park, or the Daisetsuzan National Park where hiking enthusiasts go to lose themselves. There are many other parks, making Sapporo the gateway to Japan’s purest wilderness. New Chitose Airport is located outside of Sapporo, connected to it by train. Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Korean Air, United Airlines, Thai Airways, China Eastern Airlines and many more offer service to Chitose.
