Paphos Flights Guide

Having been settled millennia ago, it seems strange that Cyprus would mostly identify with events that have shaped its fortunes in the past 4 decades. Paphos is located on the southwestern coast, traditionally the area controlled by Greek Cypriots. Today the country has reunited with the predominantly Turkish northern territory, and now has a very good economy. Tourism is to thank for much of the wealth of this new Eurozone country. Located south of Turkey in the Mediterranean, it has wonderful beaches, and a plethora of archaeological treasures. Paphos’s principle attractions are several. The Paphos Fort is one, located at the mouth of the marina. The Paphos Archaeological Park is another. In it, there are the Houses of Theseus and Dionysos, two Romans who obviously had a taste for dazzling mosaics. The Tombs of the Kings archaeological find is impressive. Nearby Paphos, there is the Tala Village. Tala, with its small buildings tucked in the coastal hills, harkens back to a time since forgotten, but with the delectable gastronomic offerings in its restaurants to keep a hefty expatriate population satisfied. Paphos International Airport is the island’s second airport. It receives flights from Ryanair, Thomas Cook Airlines and Jet2.com, among others.
