McAllen Flights Guide
Curious McAllen is located at the very bottom of Texasí tail, and serves as the capital along with Brownsville of the region affectionately intoned as the Rio Grande Valley. It has grown entirely during the 20th century, and today hosts over 150,000 inhabitants. It has a curious reputation as a main shopping town for Mexican visitors and as a hub of bird enthusiasts.
One of the best places for the bird-watchers who come in droves to the city is the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge, which is located in Alamo, not far from McAllen. Another location is the Quinta Mazatlan, which is a large estate that is very representative of the flora and fauna of Southern Texas. For the hands-on patrons of flora, who want to taste a bit of the agricultural produce of the region, Klementís Grove is a store that is very emblematic of life in the region. Hikers will want to make their way to the Rio Grande Valley State Park, while the more analytical will want to visit either the Hidalgo Pumphouse Museum or the Museum of South Texas History.
