Peking roast duck is a specialty in Beijing and you can find a vast array of restaurants that offer this dish at a wide range of prices to fit any budget. Tea is also culturally important in the city, and you can experience a traditional tea ceremony or indulge in a quick cup from one of the many teahouses that dot the city.
Hotels and accommodations of all types are available in the Beijing, and you can usually find a good deal even on a luxury room.
Taxis are the preferred method for traversing the city, but Beijing also boasts of a subway system that provides a clean, safe and cost-effective ride to your destination. If you’re unfamiliar with the local language, getting around by bus is a little more complicated than either taking a taxi or the subway.
