WestJet
Formed in 1996, WestJet is a low cost Canadian airline, based in Calgary. The airline flies from the United States (including Las Vegas, Phoenix, Honolulu, Maui, Los Angeles and Palm Springs) to destinations across Canada such as Vancouver, Victoria, Halifax, Edmonton and Ottawa.
Passengers are able to check in up to two pieces of luggage and may also carry on two baggage items. Seats are assigned at check in on a first come first served basis. WestJet operates a single class cabin on all its flights.
On the majority of flights, live seatback television is available to passengers, offering a choice of 24 different channels. Headsets are available for purchase to enable passengers to listen to the television. Access to pay per view TV and movies can be purchased. Snacks are available for purchase on board flights of over 1 hour and 40 minutes in duration. On flights over 2 hours and 30 minutes, sandwiches will normally be available for purchase. Soft drinks are complimentary on flights over 45 minutes in length.
WestJet participates in the Air Miles program, and frequent travelers can accumulate miles towards obtaining rewards with Air Miles.
