Information on Air France
Air France is the national carrier of France, and is a member of the SkyTeam alliance of airlines. It is part of the Air France-KLM Group. The airline has its main base in Paris at the Charles de Gaulle airport, from which it offers flights to the United States and worldwide. Gateway cities used by the airline include Houston, Chicago, Detroit and Washington. Air France has recently introduced non-stop flights from Los Angeles to London Heathrow.
Cabin classes available on flights to and from the United States are First, Business and Economy. First Class passengers may dine at a time of their choice. First and Business Class cabins are equipped with seats that convert into beds. All passengers are offered inflight meals and entertainment on long-haul flights.
Air France and KLM jointly run a frequent flyer program called Flying Blue, with Ivory, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels of membership. Benefits, dependent upon the membership level attained, include free flights, upgrades and lounge access. For passengers employed in the Oil and Gas industries, Air France also offers through the Petroleum Club.
