Air Canada is the main airline of the hockey capital of the world, Canada. It was set up in 1936 and changed its name to the current title in 1965. It is one of the largest carriers in the world, with 192 planes that together with subsidiary companies fly to 178 destinations. The airline holds four main hubs at the international airports of Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal and the biggest in Toronto. The company has its HQ in Montreal.

Flights to American cities make up the bulk of the airline’s international flights. On Board Air Canada


As mentioned above, the classes of cabins are organized in two categories: flights within North America and flights that leave the continent. North American Economy Class is the standard economy class with various configurations depending on the type of aircraft one has boarded. Food is available for purchase, while soft drinks and coffee come as complimentary. On International Economy Class, the in-flight entertainment system is AVOD, the on-demand system that allows passengers to click the screen in front of them in order to choose the programs they wish to watch. On long-hauls, meals come complimentary.

Business Class Flights


Business Class is called the North American Executive Class or the Executive First depending on where the flight is going. Some of the international flights offer Business Class seating that has an aisle between each seats. Other cabins are 1-2-1 configured. Some planes offer bars, but all receive the typical Business Class treatment that one would expect: on-demand and choice of meals, drinks, AVOD entertainment system on a personal TV, outlets on the arm rests, adjustable seating for flat bed space. The North American Executive Class is likewise staffed with attendants that give preferential attention to their Business Class passengers. Those who fly Business also have premium access to Air Canada lounges.

Air Canada Lounges


The exclusive lounges that are provided by Air Canada are called Maple Leaf Lounges. These are wonderful rooms where certain ticket-holders (Business Class) and frequent flyer Gold members, and those members of the Star Alliance program that likewise has reach higher tiered membership, can relax and enjoy the fruitful atmosphere. Comfortable arm chairs, bars, internet and bathrooms are some of the perks in the Mable Leaf Lounges.
