Calgary International Airport (YYC) is located 11 miles northeast of downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. YYC was originally known as McCall Field, and is the 4th busiest airport in Canada with over 13.6 million passengers passing through its terminal annually.

Transport into Town
Bus: Calgary Transit Route #100 travels between the Arrivals level of the airport and the McKnight-Westwinds C-Train station. This bus can be located in Bus Bay #20 at the airport. Bus #430 connects the airport to the North Pointe Terminal. Bus rapid transit Route #301 can be boarded at the North Pointe Terminal and taken to downtown Calgary. Bus Route #300 provides access to and from Downtown Calgary via Deerfoot Trail/Highway 2 and Centre Street North. The Airporter bus links the airport to several downtown hotels. Taxi: Taxis can be located outside of the airport and trips to downtown Calgary cost approximately $40. Shuttle: Allie Downtown Shuttle Service departs every 30 minutes from Bus Bay #8 and travels to downtown Calgary.

Travelers to Calgary International Airport are given the “White Hat Welcome” by volunteers in white cowboy hats. This tradition began in the 1950’s when Alderman Don MacKay welcomed visiting dignitaries with white hats. The Spaceport offers travelers a fun, educational space experience at the airport. Explorers can visit a ¼ scale space orbiter that NASA loaned the airport. The Spaceport is located on the 3rd Floor near the Mezzanine and Destinations Food Court. Short-term parking is located on the ground level of each parking structure. Short-term parking is free for the first 30 minutes, but each additional 30 minutes costs $7 with a daily maximum of $35. Hourly, daily or weekly parking is available in each parkade on levels P2, P4, P5, P6 and P7. P1 Long-Term costs $5 for 30 minutes, $24 for one day, and $109 for one week. P2 Long-Term costs $5 for 30 minutes, $21 for one day, and $79.99 for one week. Located north of Airport Road, and is a short walk away from the terminal building. Parking in the economy lot costs $2.50 for 30 minutes, $10.95 for one day, and $44.95 one week.
