Seattle Vacations Seattle is situated 113 miles south of the Canadian border in the state of Washington. Perhaps one of the most iconic images of Seattle is that of the Space Needle, a 605 ft high tower, with restaurant at the top and some shopping beneath. Other places of interest in Seattle include Pioneer Square, with its art galleries, restaurants and nightlife, Pike Place Market and the Seattle Art Museum. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is Seattle’s main airport. will be familiar with Seattle's internationally recognised symbol,
the futuristic creative Space Needle building.
Experience Music Project Seattle One of Seattle's most popular attractions is
the Experience Music Project, basically a rock 'n roll music museum
with a difference, housed in a huge, colourful psychedelic
building, designed by Frank Gehry at the base of the Space Needle.
Seattle Art Museum Seattle Seattle's downtown Art Museum is landmarked
by the animated thudding massive steel sculpture by Jonathon
Borofsky called "Hammering Man" that stands outside.
