The airport serves as a focus city for Southwest Airlines. American Airlines is the second busiest airline based at STL.

Lambert Airport is home to a 51-foot long mural called “Black Americans in Flight” which depicts historically significant African American aviators. The mural is located on the lower level near the entrance to gates C and D and the baggage claim. Two historic aircrafts are suspended from the ceilings of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
Lambert Airport has six parking lots for travelers to choose from. Lot C connects drivers to the airport via a free shuttle with a parking rate of $9 a day. Lot B is the closest long-term lot to the terminal. Shuttle service is available, and Lot B costs $10 a day. Lot D costs $7 a day. Lot A is within walking distance of Terminal 1 and costs $15 a day. Parking at Terminals 1 and 2 cost $23 a day.
Lambert–St. Louis International Airport (STL) is located 10 miles northwest of downtown St. Louis, Missouri. In 2011, nearly 13 million passengers traveled through the airport. The airport is named in honor of Albert Bond Lambert, an Olympic medalist. Interestingly, the site of the present-day airport was originally used a balloon-launching site.
Transfer between Terminals
St. Louis International Airport has two terminals and five concourses. International flights depart from and arrive at Terminal 2. Complimentary shuttle buses connect the airport’s terminals. Travelers can also use MetroLink which has stations are both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
Transport into Town
Rail: MetroLink is the St. Louis metropolitan region's light rail system and connects both terminals of the airport to downtown St. Louis and surrounding area. Tickets can be purchased on the platform of the MetroLink station. Bus: Lambert Bus Port is located next to the intermediate parking lot and can be reached via a tunnel from Terminal 1. The American Airlines Admirals Club is located in the B/C/D connector. Lambert’s USO Lounge is one of the biggest in the country. It is located on the lower level of the Main Terminal next to baggage claim carousel #M6.
