Falcone–Borsellino Airport (PMO) is located 22 miles northwest of Palermo, Sicily, Italy. In 2013, Palermo’s Airport handled 4.3 million passengers, making it one of the busiest airports in Italy. The airport was named in honor of the two leading anti-mafia judges Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino who were murdered by the mafia in 1992.
