Cork Airport (ORK) is located 4 miles south of Cork, Ireland. In 2012, 2.34 million passengers used Cork Airport, making it the 2nd busiest airport in Ireland. Cork Airport officially opened in 1961 and was most recently expanded at the beginning of the 21st century. London-Heathrow and London Stansted are the two most popular destinations from Cork Airport.

Cork Airport has a single terminal building. The airport’s terminal has two levels and is accessible by foot.

Transport into Town


Bus: Bus Éireann Route 226 travels to Cork Kent railway station; Bus Éireann Route 249 travels to Cork Parnell Bus Station via Turners Cross and Garretstown via Kinsale; Bus Éireann Route 252 travels to Cork Parnell Bus Station, Kenmare, Kinsale, Galway, and Limerick; and CityLink Route 4 travels to Mallow and Cork City Centre. Taxi: Taxi cabs can be found outside the arrivals area.

There is one special lounge inside the Cork Airport. Jack Lynch Lounge is located opposite Gate 8, and is open from 5am - 9pm.

Approximately twelve airlines provide service to ORK. Cork Airport is a hub for Aer Lingus. The two most popular airlines are Ryanair and Aer Lingus.

Free wireless internet is available throughout the terminal. Travelers can also pay to use computer at the Cork Airport. The new terminal at Cork Airport contains several shopping and eating facilities. For a last minute haircut and style, a hairdresser is located inside the Cork Airport.

Car Parking


Cork Airport offers both short-term and long-term parking within the airport campus. Short-term parking is located in a multi-story car park with access to the Terminal via a covered walkway. Long-term parking is located in two lots. Holiday Blue (previously P1) is within walking distance of the Terminal and is connected to the terminal via a courtesy bus service. Express Red (previously P2) is within walking distance of the Terminal. Drivers can reserve parking spots in advanced via Cork Airport’s website.
