Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is located 5 miles southeast of Austin, Texas. In 2013, there were over 150 departures from AUS, making it the 38th busiest airport in the United States. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport opened to the public in 1999 and is named in honor of Captain John August Earl Bergstrom.

Transfer between Terminals

Austin International Airport consists of the Barbara Jordan Terminal. The airport is accessible on foot.

Transport into Town

Bus: The Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority operates the Airport Flyer bus which operates between the airport and the University of Texas main campus with stops in downtown Austin. Private Shuttle: A large number of shuttle buses operate between the airport and various points in the Austin area. Check the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport website for a full list of charter and shuttle buses. Taxi: The minimum fare for taxi is $13.10.

Airport Lounges

Both American Airlines and United Airlines operate lounges inside Austin International Airport. American Admiral's Club Lounge is located across from Gate 13. United Club Lounge is located in the West Concourse on the mezzanine level across from Gate 13.

Major Airlines

Austin–Bergstrom International Airport is served by 11 commercial airlines. Southwest transported the largest number of AUS passengers in 2013. American Airlines was the second largest carrier at the airport, United Airlines was third, and Delta carried the fourth highest number of AUS passengers.

Airport Facilities

Austin is known as "The Live Music Capital of the World” and lives up to that reputation with frequent live concerts inside the airport terminal. AUS hosts an arts program which displays regional artists throughout the terminal. Ninety minutes of free wireless internet is available throughout the airport.

Car Parking

Premium Valet Parking is available at the upper level curbside and costs $26 a day. The Parking Garage is located directly across from the terminal and costs $22 a day or $3 an hour. Lot A is located next to the parking garage and is a short walk to the terminal. Parking in Lot A costs $11  a day and $3 an hour. Economy Lots B - J are connected to the airport via a free shuttle service. Economy parking costs $7 a day.
